Thermals, Das Racist, Mad Rad to rock Sasquatch! launch party

The Thermals will headline the second annual Sasquatch! Launch Party Feb. 6 at Showbox at the Market. Also scheduled to perform are Das Racist and Mad Rad. The concert will be hosted by comedian Todd Barry and is free. Tickets will be made available at select Verizon Wireless stores on Feb. 3.

The lineup for the tenth Sasquatch! Music Festival will be unveiled at the launch party, which takes place on Super Bowl Sunday. Last year the launch party was held at the Crocodile and sold out shortly after tickets were made available.

Not much is known about the lineup for this year’s festival, which has expanded to a four-day event, aside from the guarantee of a headlining set by Foo Fighters. Although there have been little to no lineup leaks there has been some speculation about who will be at the Gorge Memorial Day weekend. Heavily rumored Sasquatch! performers include Das Racist, Wavves, Best Coast, Sleigh Bells, Wolf Parade, Iron & Wine, Cold War Kids, Matt & Kim and Twin Shadow.

Tickets for this year’s Sasquatch! Launch Party will be made available at the Northgate, Bellevue and downtown Seattle Verizon Wireless stores. Tickets do not guarantee entry so be sure to arrive early and expect to wait in line outside of the venue if you do ditch your Super Bowl party early in order to be one of the first to find out about the Sasquatch! lineup.
