PHOTOS: Hot Bodies in Motion at the High Dive

Hot Bodies in Motion impressed just about everyone in attendance at the High Dive for Guerrilla Candy’s Launch Party last weekend.

The band plays an effective style of bluesy, poppy, rock that makes the ladies swoon and caused a buddy of mine text me “Maroon 4” during their set. The comparison to Adam Levine and Co. is merited and the 4 isn’t a knock on HBIM’s abilities, rather it’s a observation that there are four members of the band.

Hot Bodies in Motion have plenty of good songs of their own (see “Old Habits” and “Gout”) but what made their set extra special in my eyes was their unlikely cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity”. Check out the video of the cover below and peep the pics from their set too.

The next chance you’ll have to see Hot Bodies in Motion is Friday night at Hard Rock Seattle when they compete in the restaurant chain’s annual battle of the bands (9 p.m., $7 ad & $10 DOS.
