Death Cab for Cutie’s latest album, Codes and Keys, will be released May 31.

The band, which is headlining an evening of the Sasquatch! Music Festival, is also recording an episode of VH1’s Storytellers to support the album.

Not much is known about the record itself aside from a few comments made by band members who have said it is a more piano-based record with fewer guitar-driven songs. The group worked with Alan Moulder to mix the album and it is being produced by Death Cabber Chris Walla. Or at least I’m assuming it is being produced by Walla since I haven’t read anything suggesting otherwise and he’s pretty good behind the knobs.
