Tonight: Benefit for Drew Grow at Columbia City Theatre

Benefit for Drew Grow & The Pastors’ Wives with The Maldives, Kevin Murphy (of the Moondoggies), Mychel Goodweather (Campfire OK), Jake Hemming (Big Sur), Bryan John Appleby, and many more // 8 pm // $15 // Columbia City Theater

Drew Grow of Portland band Drew Grow and the Pastor’s Wives was recently in a bad car wreck and that left him with some broken bones, a pretty hefty medical bill and a totaled tour van. Sadly, the accident is going to leave the singer-songwriter out of commission for the next couple months as he recuperates. This is a cost few musicians can handle.

Even though the accident will not cripple Grow, the costly hospital stay, surgeries and rehabilitation easily could. His label, Amigo/Amiga has already set up a donation page on their website, where fans and fellow Northwesterners can help to ease the burden of the medical costs this prolific songwriter is going to endure. Friends of the band all over the Northwest are also helping out by putting on some benefit shows.

Tonight at the Columbia City Theatre, The Maldives, Kevin Murphy (of The Moondoggies), Mychel Goodweather (Campfire OK), Jake Hemming (Big Sur), and Bryan John Appleby will be performing in a benefit for Grow. So, basically, you already wanted to go to this show because all these people are awesome but now it’s extra special because you are helping a worthy cause. I call that a win-win.
