It’s Radiohead Day on Guerrilla Candy

Welcome to Radiohead Day here on Guerrilla Candy.

What’s Radiohead Day? Well it’s not a national holiday like Presidents Day, which also happens to be today.

Radiohead Day is my way of paying tribute to the awesomeness that is Radiohead by dedicating an entire day of posts to my second favorite band.

Why did I choose to do this? Well, is it taking the easy way out if I said because I can?

Seriously though, I am a big Radiohead fan and I wanted to do something different on Guerrilla Candy to celebrate the release of The King of Limbs so I decided to dedicate the day to Radiohead. I’ve never dedicated an entire day to one band but so far it’s been a pretty fun experiment. I’ve enjoyed skimming through Radiohead material while coming up with the posts for Radiohead Day so I might do something like this again with other bands I enjoy down the road (*cough* Pearl Jam *cough*).

Some of the posts you’ll see on Guerrilla Candy (which has been renamed Radiohead Candy for Radiohead Day) throughout the day will include: Radiohead’s best and worst videos, Jason Tang’s photos from Seattle Rock Orchestra’s performance of OK Computer and The Bends, archived reviews of Radiohead’s last two concerts in Washington state, Brent Stecker’s review of The King of Limbs and more.

So enjoy getting your Radiohead geek on. We’ll return you to your regularly scheduled Guerrilla Candy postings of all the news and notes of the local music scene and more on Tuesday.*

* Unless there is some sort of majorly awesome Pearl Jam news that happens, then all bets are off.

  1. Thrilled to have another album from Radiohead. Now, can we expect them to visit the Pacific Northwest this year…maybe at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver or at White River in Auburn?
