Radiohead handing out newspapers in Cap Hill, Ballard March 29

Radiohead’s The King of Limbs (read the review here) will get a physical release March 29 and the band is doing something rather unique to mark the occasion.

Members of the Radiohead street team will be handing out physical newspapers created by Radiohead, called The Universal Sigh, for free around the world. Copies of The Universal Sigh will be handed out at 1 p.m. in Ballard (5449 Ballard Avenue Northwest) and Capitol Hill (917 East Pine Street) while supplies last. Click here to view the worldwide locations for The Universal Sigh events.

According to the website for The Universal Sigh, the newspaper is not the “newspaper record” the band plans to deliver as a special edition of The King of Limbs and The Universal Sigh events do not include live performances by Radiohead.

  1. Interesting. I’m not sure what they are trying to accomplish with this, but it’s unusual. I like unusual! Will you be reviewing what they hand out? Or do I actually have to drag my lazy butt to Ballard to see what’s going on? Haha!
