Watch: Blue Scholars ‘Slick Watts’

Blue Scholars are getting ready to release their third full-length record Cinemetropolis. In preparation for the album’s June 14 release Geo and Sabzi teamed up with the Sonicsgate folks to create a mini-film for the track “Slick Watts.”

The 7 and 1/2 minute clip features its namesake, Seattle Supersonics legend Slick Watts, as well as a few members of the local hip hop scene (Neema and Vitamin D to name a few) and an appearance by Seattle Times sports columnist Steve Kelley. The track is a great homage to the Sonics and it has the potential to give Macklemore’s “The Town” a run for its money for a 206 anthem.
