Video interview: Mad Rad

Three days of music, partying and (hopefully) sun will infest Capitol Hill this weekend for the annual Capitol Hill Block Party and what better way to kick off preview coverage of the festival than to start by talking about Mad Rad, a group that more or less personifies the Block Party vibe and a group that will fittingly be the last band to play at Block Party.

I spoke with Mad Rad’s Terry Radjaw, Buffalo Madonna and Trent Moorman prior to their rowdy set at Sasquatch! 2011. Take a look at what they had to say about their music, why Trent Moorman is never invited along for interview and what Terry Radjaw plans to do with the Space Needle.

Mad Rad performs July 24 on the Neumos stage at Capitol Hill Block Party for the festival’s closing party along with Metal Chocolates, Darwin, Beat Connection (DJ set only) and Mash Hall. The party starts at 11:30 and is 21+. You can buy CHBP tickets here.
