It may be cold, wet and windy outside but that doesn’t mean music fans shouldn’t be thinking about the warm and cozy confines of the summer festival season. If you happen to be one those who pines for sunshine, flip flops and outdoor amphitheatres then you will be happy to know about two announcements that were recently made because they’ll help stoke your flames of summer music desires.

The first announcement was made by Live Nation and it involves Sasquatch! A limited number of advance four-day passes for Sasquatch! 2012 will go on sale Friday. Unlike previous years when advance passes have gone on sale in November no lineup news was revealed with the announcement, but it is now known that once again Sasquatch! will be a four-day affair, taking place May 25-28. Also, according to the Seattle Weekly, anyone who buys a four-day pass will be allowed in-and-out privileges during the festival.  Live Nation’s website says the advance passes will cost $290 which is close to the same amount as last year’s advance passes.

The second announcement was made by One Reel and it involves advance three-day passes to Bumbershoot. Three-day passes for Bumbershoot 2012 will cost $75 and go on sale Friday but this offer is only for a limited time as the passes will be on sale until Nov, 28 at 11:59 p.m. In order to snag this offer you’re going to have to sign up for One Reel’s newsletter and set up a profile. Aside from getting your three-day passes in advance, a few added bonuses of cashing in on this deal include not having to pay any service fees if you print your tickets at home and you’ll be saving 50 percent off the price of tickets if you were to buy them at the gate (they’ll be $50 day of the show). Unfortunately, like Live Nation’s Sasquatch! announcement no details about the lineup for Bumbershoot 2012 were announced.
