Download: Occupy Bellingham compilation

Several musicians in Bellingham have banded together to support the Occupy movement by releasing the compilation Occupy Bellingham: Local Artists Songs of Protest, Rebellion & Hope. The 32-track protest album is “free for the 99% and costs $1,000,000 for the 1%.” You can download it for free here.

The record includes songs from several notable Northwest musicians including Ken Stingfellow, Black Eyes & Neck Ties, Kris Orlowski, and Police Teeth. Stringfellow’s contribution, a solo version of The Posies’ “Everybody Is a Fucking Liar” with Stringfellow on piano, is especially poignant if the song’s meaning is applied to the 1 percent the Occupy movement is protesting against.
