Selling advance passes to summer music festivals without giving consumers any information about the festival seems to be the thing do nowadays, as exhibited by both Bumbershoot and Sasquatch! selling advance passes for their 2012 editions. Joining those two Northwest music festival titans in offering up advance sales is the Capitol Hill Block Party, which put advance three-day passes to its 2012 dates on Friday. The tickets cost $75, which is actually $84.25 after fees, and you can get your tickets here.
Little is known about next year’s CHBP aside from the dates (July 20-22). Judging from the festival’s website CHBP 2012 is being billed as “The Final? Capitol Hill Block Party” which is likely a tongue-in-cheek nod to the theory that the world will end in 2012 instead of 2012 being the final year for Block Party.
