Watch: Mike McCready covers Neil Young

 

Mike McCready reunited with his former band Shadow at the Tractor Tavern last night as part of a benefit concert for Carbon Roots International. Prior to taking the stage with his former bandmates he played a few acoustic songs including a cover of Neil Young’s “Too Far Gone.” Check out the video above along with an explanation for why Pearl Jam never played that particular song when they toured with Uncle Neil (thanks Peggy). As an added bonus here’s a clip of Mike performing a cover of “Dead Flowers” with Star Anna.
