Ra Scion is bringing his new fire to Vera

Last month Ra Scion released his latest effort, the three-song BegXBorrowXSteal EP. The new material, which is an ode to the Anonymous collective, finds Ra more focused, fierce, and sharp-tongued than on his Victor Shade record and perhaps even more dialed-in on his craft than his Common Market material. This is a good thing for local hip-hop heads because a Ra Scion who is on top of his game can only challenge others in the hip-hop community to elevate themselves to match his output.

Saturday night Ra will deliver material from throughout his career as well as new, unreleased songs (from a solo record that will hopefully be released sooner rather than later) when he tops one of the best local hip-hop bills of the year so far at the Vera Project. Accompanying Ra Scion on the bill are Gabriel Teodros delivering a very special Abyssinian Creole set, Dice and Hi-Life. The show is hosted by another local MC who is on top of his game as of late, Grynch. Tickets cost $11 at the door and can be purchased here online. As for the BegXBorrowXSteal EP, you can snag that here free of charge if you haven’t already.
