Chris Cornell: New Soundgarden album coming in October

Cornell told the magazine the record is more or less complete and he expects it to be released in about five months. Cornell was talking with the magazine about the band’s song “Live to Rise,” which was written specifically for The Avengers soundtrack. He said the song isn’t like most of the material the band has recorded for the new album but that it would fit in on the album.
