Allen Stone signs to a major label, scheduled to play Letterman

Allen Stone recently signed a licensing deal with Dave Matthew’s ATO Records, which will distribute his self-titled, self-released full-length album. The record will be released by ATO on July 31 on CD and vinyl.

The record deal news isn’t the only bit of exciting buzz coming out of the Allen Stone camp. Today Stone announced that he will appear as the musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman on Aug. 14. So be sure to set your DVRs to watch what will surely be a stellar milestone in his career.

If you want to check him out live, Stone’s next local shows are at the Gorge Amphitheatre where he will open for the Dave Matthews Band Aug 31- Sept. 2. After that his next Seattle shows will happen when he performs two nights at the Paramount Theatre later this fall.
