Bumbershoot preview: The Guerrilla Candy schedule

Today marks the opening of Bumbershoot and it’s my favorite festival of the year (sorry Sasquatch!).

As with every Bumbershoot, there’s tons to do and it’s going to be a crazy busy weekend of live music and here’s what I hope to catch during the festival’s three-day run. Of course this plan involves seeing very few full sets and hopping from stage to stage pretty rapidly so there’s a good chance I won’t get to see it all, but it’s what I hope to accomplish in theory. I’ve pegged 33 music acts and five comedy sets. I figure if I see half of what’s on my schedule then it will have been a good weekend.

The * in my schedule indicates a KEXP Music Lounge set. I highly recommend checking out one of these sets if you have the chance. It’s a great setting and they always provide excellent performances. Here’s the Music Lounge schedule.

One thing I didn’t factor into my schedule is the Toyota Free Yr Radio stage, which offers up quick, 20-minute sets from Bumbershoot acts all weekend. I pasted the schedule for that stage below since it isn’t on Bumbershoot’s website, but it is a pretty neat distraction and can provide a quick and dirty way to see an act up close and personal.
