Sabzi raps about pho on ‘Wassup Pham’

Sabzi (Rapping) – WASSUP PHẠM by sabzi

A few weeks back I attended a private event that featured a performance by Seattle’s favorite hip-hop sons, Blue Scholars. At the event the dynamic duo of Geo (aka Prometheus Brown) and Sabzi debuted some new material and one particular song was a standout. The song was “Wassup  Pham” and it featured the group’s beatmaker/producer/DJ Sabzi rapping about pho.

If you’re not familiar with pho, it’s a soup consisting of noodles, basil, cilantro, onions, lime, various vegetables, meat and other ingredients. There are somewhere around a bazillion pho restaurants in the greater Seattle area so you really should just go order some pho and try it for yourself instead of reading my description.

Anyway, back to Sabzi rapping. The song is part of a Kickstarter project he posted that involves pho. If you donate to the Kickstarter you’ll be supporting a pho-themed project that includes fancy pho posters, stickers, buttons and custom chopsticks. You can check out the Kickstarter over here and watch the video for “Pho Life” above.
