Watch Allen Stone perform on Jay Leno

As previously mentioned, yesterday was a pretty big day for local music on a national level. There was the whole Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thing with Quincy Jones and Heart and then, of course, there was Allen Stone and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performing on late night television.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed “Thrift Shop” with a small little backing band you may have heard of called The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Check that out here in case you forgot to set your DVR last night.  For his contribution to late night TV slate, the soulful Mr. Stone and his excellent band performed “Sleep” on The Tonigt Show with Jay Leno. You can check out a video of that performance above.

Watch: Allen Stone performs on Letterman

Of course, this isn’t the first time Allen Stone has performed “Sleep” on national television. He played the song on Letterman back in July and he’s also been on the Carson Daly show and Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night programs so he’s making his TV rounds.
