Yesterday was a great day for Seattle music. Shortly before noon Quincy Jones and Heart were confirmed for induction into to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Then later in the evening Seattle musicians took over late night television on NBC with stellar performances by Allen Stone and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon respectively.
Mack & Ryan Lewis performed “Thrift Shop” with some help from ?uestlove and The Roots, and not only was it great to see Seattle’s hottest rapper-producer team on national TV, they performed with the stylish Wanz and Macklemore gave studio audience a thrifty little surprise to boot.
