Pearl Jam and Soundgarden both served up holiday gifts for their fans during the Christmas break in the forms of mp3s of a few live songs.

Soundgarden sent fans who subscribe to the band’s email list a code to download “A Thousand Days Before” and “Rowing” from the band’s excellent Live on Letterman concert. Pearl Jam, a band that sends members of its Ten Club annual 7″ holiday singles, sent Ten Clubbers downloads of the relatively obscure tracks “In the Moonlight” and “All Night.” Or at least they’re obscure when it comes to live sets.

Parting Ways: Has Pearl Jam forgotten about Seattle?

Both of the Pearl Jam songs, which were released to fans on Christmas, are from the band’s PJ 20 festival in 2011. “All Night” features Joseph Arthur, Liam Finn and Glen Hansard while “In the Moonlight” features Josh Homme.
