The last time I checked in on Ra Scion he was rocking Barboza hard during last year’s Block Party. His set was filled with new cuts and I really liked what I was hearing. Here’s a refresher on my impressions from that night in case you weren’t feeling clicky:

Ra Scion appears to be poised for making a return to the form he was in back in the breakout Common Market days except this time he’s bringing a bit more fierceness to his game which could put a lot of other local MCs on notice.

Fast-forward from 2012 to 2013 and we find ourselves with some of that new new I was enjoying so much from Ra. Yesterday he released, “Guttersnipe Bridge,” the first song off his upcoming record Adding to the Extra, which is a collaborative project with Todd Sykes. Listen to “Guttersnipe Bridge” below. The album will be released March 19.
