Listen to the Presidents of the USA’s song for the Seahawks

As noted earlier this week, Seattle musicians love their local sports teams.

The latest showing of love for a team from the Emerald City comes from the Presidents of the United States of America. They penned a theme song for Blitz, the popular and ever so awesome mascot for the Seahawks.

Since the Hawks are playing the Falcons in the NFC playoffs Sunday I figured today would be an appropriate time to share the song and its lyrics. Give the track a listen by clicking here and check out the lyrics below.

“This is a Blitz” lyrics
He was born in the old kingdom in 1998
Tho he only a few years old, heavy duty feather weight
High energy ground attack with a strut and silly stare
Fully feathered power pack, try to tackle him if you dare
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!and he’ll throw you to the ground
and he’ll rip the field in half
and he’ll crush our offensive lines
and still make the children laught
blue jersey number none
with a 10 mile whitening streak
take the pass and stop the run
with his giant smiling beak
like a phoenix but only blue
with a green and orange tan
he’s a pom pom stealing fool
more powerfull than a manThis Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!
This Is a Blitz!Is a blitz
Is a blitz
This is a blitz
Is a blitz
Is a blitz
This is a blitz
Is a blitz
Is a blitz
This is a blitz
Is a blitz
Is a blitz
