Postal Service, Phoenix, RHCP, Blur top Coachella 2013’s bill

The lineup for this year’s Coachella has finally arrived and it includes some pretty interesting names and some good looks for some local talent.

Brit-pop icons Blur and the Stone Roses, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Modest Mouse top the bill the first night of the three-day event. Night number two has Phoenix, The xx, Sigur Ros, and as previously reported, The Postal Service, serve as the main attractions. The final night of this year’s Coachella will include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Social Distortion and Wu-Tang Clan as the big names.

The local names on the bill aside from Modest Mouse and the Postal Service include Father John Misty, Allen Stone and Reignwolf. The inclusion of FJM, Allen Stone and Reignwolf is a sign that 2013 will be big years for all three of those artists.

Other names of note on the bill include New Order, Lou Reed, Jurassic 5, Band of Horses, Grizzly Bear, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and Trent Reznor’s new band How to Destroy Angels. The full lineup, in poster form, is below.
