Watch the Mad Season ‘Above’ reissue EPK

Mad Season — the defunct band featuring Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley, Screaming Trees’ Barrett Martin and the Walkabouts’ Baker Saunders — will reissue their lone album Above, will be reissued April 2. The reissue will feature three new songs as well as a DVD of the band’s concerts at the Moore Theatre and RCKCNDY. Last week we got a taste of what the reissue will offer when “Locomotive,” a track featuring Mark Lanegan, was released. Today we get a look at what the video part of the reissue will offer.

VIDEO: Mad Season reunites at the Showbox

I interviewed Mad Season drummer Barrett Martin a few days ago and we spoke about a number of things including the reissue, his late friend Baker and Layne and the Screaming Trees. I’ll have more about our interview soon but until I get around to transcribing our conversation take a look at the EPK for the new edition of Mad Season’s Above. Oh, and EPK stands for electronic press kit in case you aren’t a music journalist.
