Natalie Maines, she of Dixie Chicks fame, will release her debut album, Mother, May 7. You can read more about the album here.
The record features several covers including her take on Eddie Vedder‘s “Without You” off his Ukulele Songs record. It’s quite different from the original and after giving it a few listens I think it comes close to eclipsing the original.
