Listen to new music from Brent Amaker and the Rodeo

It’s time to saddle up once again because the rootin’ tootin’ musical cowboys known as Brent Amaker and the Rodeo have new music ready to kick your ears’ ass. The band’s latest album, Year of the Dragon, is going to be released this summer on Fin Records, a label based in Ballard that’s been on working with multiple Guerrilla Candy favorites (Grynch, Seacats, Hot Bodies in Motion). The album art above was done by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, which is something I think is really, really cool.

The below BAR track, “Death Is Always Near,” premiered on the Wall Street Journal’s music blog (yes, that’s a thing that actually exists) and it’s the first bit of music we get to hear off YOD. Give it a listen and be sure to check out all of Fin’s roster because they’re doing good stuff and are definitely a local label on the rise.
