The lineup for this year’s Bumbershoot was unveiled last night during a prom-themed party at the Crocodile headlined by Allen Stone and the bill is topped by some choice hometown talent in recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Heart and Death Cab for Cutie who will be performing their seminal breakthrough album Transatlantcism. The lineup features dozens of other notable names and some of the bigger acts on the bill include Grammy-winners fun., EDM star Bassnectar and Dr. Dre protege Kendrick Lamar. Heart will headline Saturday, Death Cab  Sunday and Bassnectar on Monday.

As is Bumbershoot tradition, the bill features just about something for everyone. For those looking for a modern alt-rock fix you’ve got Joy Formidable, Tegan and Sara, MGMT and Matt and Kim. As far as buzz bands are concerned, you’re covered there too with !!!, Alt-J, Diamond Rings, Icona Pop and others. Nostalgia for pioneering ’80s and ’90s rock bands will be in full effect with Bob Mould, the Breeders, Redd Kross, Superchunk and Gary Numan. And on the classic rock front there’s the Zombies, Eric Bourdon and the Animals and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience. There’s also some metal (Baroness), soul (Charles Bradley) and plenty of alt-country (Justin Townes Earle, ZZ Ward). And of course there’s some hip-hop too with Joey Bada$$ and the jazz and hip-hop hybrid of the Robert Glasper Experiment.

Aside from the big-name local headliners and Allen Stone (who is expected to perform on the mainstage at KeyArena) other locals performing include The Flavr Blue, Grynch, Vicci Martinez, David Bazan, the Physics, the Maldives, the Redwood Plan, the Grizzled Mighty, Mark Pickerel and his Praying Hands, Kithkin, Hot Bodies in Motion, Sol and more.

Those names just scratch the surface of a lineup that looks to be another solid year for Bumbershoot. Check out the full lineup announced so far on the poster below or head on over to Bumbershoot’s website and take a look. Three-day passes for Bumbershoot 2013 are currently $120 and on sale now.
