Looking to add some music to your Valentine’s Day, or anti-Valentine’s Day celebrations? Well you’re in luck because Guerrilla Candy’s good friend Marco Collins has hand-selected a talented crop of local artists to perform at two Valentine’s-related concerts happening this weekend at the Volterra Drawing Room in Ballard.

If you want to go the happy and sappy route with love gushing out of your heart check out the “Love Me” showcase on Feb. 14 featuring Mark Shirtz, Maiah Manser, Shaprece (performing with IG88) and Guerrilla Candy favorites Shelby Earl and Brad’s Shawn Smith ($15, 7 p.m., purchase tickets here).

If you’re the sad and sullen heartbroken type check out the “Loves Me Not” showcase Feb. 15 featuring Naomi Wachira, Ruler, S (Jenn Ghetto from Carissa’s Wierd), Jason Dodson of the Maldives and MxPx frontman Mike Herrera (also $15, 7 p.m., purchase tickets here).

Both bills feature a diverse array of local talent which means you can’t go wrong choosing to attend either night. So whatever your plans are for this weekend, Marco Collins has all of your VD needs covered.
