Chateau Ste Michelle announces its 2012 concert series

Woodinville winery Chateau Ste Michelle has a history of bringing some pretty big names to its cozy, intimate picnic grounds of a venue for its annual series of concerts and this year’s lineup keeps in that tradition. The 2012 lineup of concerts may be the best the venue has ever hosted with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, the reunited Beach Boys, John Fogerty, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Diana Krall, Ringo Starr, Steve Martin, Blondie and Devo all slated to perform at the winery.

After taking a glance at the lineup you’ll notice most of the acts are targeted towards the adult contemporary crowd and that tickets aren’t necessarily cheap (the least expensive cost of admission is $45). That’s all to be expected considering the winery’s demographic and when you factor in  the quality of artists combined with the beautiful setting and excellent wine every show is worth the cost of admission. Anyone who has attended a show at Chateau Ste Michelle on a sunny summer evening will tell you it’s by far the best outdoor concert experience in western Washington so don’t hesitate to pull the trigger on a ticket or two to a few shows in Woodinville because shows at the winery are almost always a guaranteed good time.

The lineup for the 2012 season, as pasted from a press release from the fine folks at Live Nation, is below. All tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
