Sasquatch! update: Lineup leaks & new launch party details

The lineup for the 2011 Sasquatch! Music Festival will be announced Feb. 6 during the Sasquatch! Launch Party at Showbox at the Market. Das Racist is the sole confirmed act for the event. The group, which is perhaps best known for the novelty hit Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, will also be performing at the festival, according to its MySpace page.

It was previously incorrectly reported that this year’s Sasquatch! Launch Party would be held at the Crocodile Feb. 5.

Last year’s Sasquatch! launch party was held at the Crocodile and the show featured sets by Atlas Sound, Fresh Espresso and Surfer Blood. Fresh Espresso was the only act on the bill that was a part of the 2010 Sasquatch! lineup. The launch party was free and tickets were either won by listening to 107.7 The End or by stopping by either Easy Street Records location. It is unknown whether this year’s Sasquatch! launch party will be free.

Tickets for the festival, which takes place between May 27-30 at the Gorge Amphitheatre, went on sale Nov. 20 in the form of special four-day passes that include camping costs. The only confirmed act for the festival is Foo Fighters which will headline May 27 date. Other acts heavily rumored to perform include Wolf Parade, Matt & Kim, Cold War Kids, Wavves, Best Coast, Twin Shadow and Foster the People.
