Guerrilla Candy was established in 2009 as an extension of the popular weekly column and award-winning Seattle Post-Intelligencer blog Ear Candy, which was founded in 2005 but and was abruptly shut down four years later due to Universal Group filing a copyright infringement claim against the name of the blog.
Guerrilla Candy’s staff is dedicated to providing quality coverage of Seattle’s music scene so you can expect the same high level of music journalism here that was featured on Ear Candy. This means you’ll find plenty of information about Seattle’s music scene as well as noteworthy news, reviews and commentary about players in the national and global music scenes (check out the. Guerrilla Candy also contains some of the best archived material from Ear Candy and will continue to feature the work of some of the best music writers and photographers in Seattle.
