Linda From Work is a band I’ve yet to write much about, but that isn’t due to lack of wanting.
I’ve had my eye on them ever since seeing them at Bumbershoot last year when I declared them my new favorite local band. I just haven’t had the opportunity to write about them, or see them live again, since their excellent festival set that made my ears smile.
That all changes today because Linda From Work have released a new song and have a new album planned for release on Oct. 15. The song, “Seeing Red,” comes with a catchy af riff and has all the markings of a killer pop-rock tune. Check it out below.
As for the new album, the band’s self-titled third album is slated for release on Oct. 17. Last year the band was a recipient of a $10,000 grant from Sonic Guild and they used part of that money to record the new album. The group doesn’t have any shows on the horizon, but with a new record to support expect to see Linda From Work out in the clubs soon. Until then, enjoy “Seeing Red” and blast the new album when it arrives in the fall.
