Danksgiving Mixtape by Lisa Dank

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Lisa Dank.

In a scene consumed with beards, banjos, hip-hop heads and  garage rock bands she stands out as a true original. I was thrilled to have her perform at my annual birthday show back in March and I’ve greatly enjoyed watching her continue to make a name for herself as a performer throughout 2010.

Today Lisa — or Ms. Dank if you’re nasty — continues her breakout year, which so far has included sets at Bumbershoot and Reverb Fest, by releasing her first mixtape.

Crafted by DJ Skiddle, the Danksgiving mixtape (listen and download above) showcases the best of Lisa Dank by excellently encapsulating what a delicious slice of pop goodness she can be when she is on her game. From  the sexy and dirty hook of “Social Networking”  down to the retro Madonna feel of “Cookies” it’s a great primer of all things Lisa Dank and it shows plenty of potential for one of Seattle’s brightest (and possibly only) pop stars.
