Dogfish Head crafting up a Pearl Jam branded beer

Looks like Sub Pop isn’t the only Seattle musical institution with its own alcoholic beverage.

Dogfish Head Brewery is creating Faithfull Ale in commemoration of Pearl Jam’s twentieth anniversary. There is no word on a release date for the beer but the label reads:

Faithfull Ale is a celebration of Pearl Jam’s 20th anniversary and their seminal album Ten – In recognition of these milestones this Belgian-style golden ale is delicately hopped to 20 IBUs and fruit-forward from 10 incremental additions of black currants over the course of the one hour boil. 7% ABV.

The beer accompanies the release of Cameron Crowe’s Pearl Jam Twenty film, the double-disc rarites and live record PJ 20 soundtrack, the PJ 20 book, the reissues of Vs. & Vitalogy and the Live on Ten Legs live record as celebrations of the group’s 20 years together.

Pearl Jam recently released a new song and is currently wrapping up a tour of Canada which ends in Vancouver, B.C. this weekend. The group has plans to release its tenth studio record next year.
