Watch & Download: Pearl Jam’s new song “Olé”

Pearl Jam – “Olé” by RockItOutBlog

Cameron Crowe made an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote the PJ 20 book, soundtrack and film and his pals in Pearl Jam served at the musical guests.

As for Pearl Jam’s role as musical guests, the band performed a new song called “Olé.” The song clocks in at around two minutes and 30 seconds and features a driving guitar line and a majority of the lyrics involving the repeating of “What you say? Olé.” Near the end of the song Matt Cameron repeatedly sings something that’s nearly indecipherable over Eddie Vedder’s vocals. It’s a pretty quick and dirty number as far as songs in the Pearl Jam catalog are concerned. If this is any indication of the upcoming Pearl Jam record the band is said to be working on for a 2012 release fans can expect an album similar to 2009’s Backspacer which was a fairly tight and concise effort that clocked in at less than 37 minutes over 11 tracks.

Check out the clip of the group debuting the song below and download it for free off the group’s website over here.

As an added bonus here’s Eddie Vedder making an appearance on the show without the rest of the band. He sang a song called “Balls in Your Mouth.” Who said Pearl Jam doesn’t have a sense of humor?

Pearl Jam returns as musical guests on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon again early tomorrow morning. The program airs at 12:30 a.m. on NBC.
