Win tickets to Funeral Party & Two Door Cinema Club

Funeral Party is coming to town Saturday night and chances are they’re going to put on one helluva show opening for Two Door Cinema Club at Neumos (8 p.m., $13) despite having a morbid moniker that could pass for a color of lip gloss sold at Hot Topic.

Hailing from the L.A. suburb of Whittier, the three-piece plays a versatile brand of rock that has earned them comparisons to a wide range of bands ranging from The Strokes (give “Where Did it Go Wrong” a listen) to … And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead (listen to the killer bass intro to “NYC Moves to the Sound of LA” above). The band’s debut record, Golden Age of Knowhere, is set for release on January 25, 2011 on RCA Records.

If you want to be able to say you saw them before they broke big drop me an email with the subject “Party” and your name in the body field and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to the show. Deadline to enter is Friday (Nov. 5) at noon. Good luck.
