Grand Archives, Feral Children, and Astronautalis // The Crocodile //  8 p.m. // $10

As a member of Carissa’s Wierd, Band of Horses, and Grand Archives, Mat Brooke is sort of like a deity to those who worship at the altar of Northwest Music. So, for those devout NW music lovers tonight’s lineup at the Crocodile is not to be missed as it is a totally local lineup. Experimental-rock group Feral Children and experimental-rapper Astronautalis are opening for soft-spoken indie rock group Grand Archives. The band says that they have been steadily working on their third album and that fans can expect something as early as this summer. Although they still don’t know exactly how it will be released as Grand Archives recently announced that they will not be releasing their upcoming album on Sub Pop. Seeing Saturday’s performance will be worth it if only to hear some of the new stuff that other fans will have to wait months to hear.
