Watch: Macklemore’s ‘Irish Celebration’ & ‘My Oh My’

We here at Guerrilla Candy couldn’t be more proud of our pal Macklemore, who  in case you haven’t noticed, is on fire right now.

He had a monstrous 2010 (during which he Ear Candy’s Funofficial Bumbershoot Kickoff Party, which really was a tiny footnote for his stellar year) and he’s off to a pretty damn good 2011. Tickets for his third show at the Showbox went on sale today  after the first two nights sold out in record time, he’s about to go on a national tour and he’s recently released two stunning videos.

The first video, which was released a few weeks back, is for his Dave Niehaus tribute track “My Oh My.” It’s a visually beautiful video to accompany a beautiful and emotional song.

The second video is for “Irish Celebration” off 2009’s Vs. EP. The song is typically Mack’s set closer which speaks to its strength because he has about seven other strong tracks that could easily rock the end of a set (“And We Danced” and “Otherside” come to mind). The video was filmed in November and features cameos of various local fixtures of the hip-hop community including Grynch, Champagne Champagne, Buffalo Madonna and more.

Enjoy the videos and be sure to get some tickets to the Feb. 27 Macklemore show at the Showbox soon because it’ll likely be your last chance to see him play a local stage for quite a while.
