Why you should be paying attention to My Goodness

I don’t know a lot about local heavy-blues two-piece My Goodness but I do know one thing for certain: they rock.

Just listen to the amazing amount of rocktitude coming from that video above. You don’t need to hear the vocals to know that My Goodness is a band you need to be watching out for in 2011.

Oh and I also know they have finished up a record and are releasing the album on Sarathan Records April 5, which is another reason you should be paying attention to these guys. One more thing I know is that Seattle Weekly called them “Seattle’s answer to the Black Keys” and I am guessing you’ll be calling them something along those lines too once you see them live.

Speaking of seeing My Goodness live, they’ll be kicking off Guerrilla Candy’s Launch Party at the High Dive Friday ($10, 9 p.m.) and I couldn’t be more pleased to have them as part of what is sure to be a stellar night of local music hosted by Guerrilla Candy’s pal Brent Amaker. Also scheduled to perform are Hounds of the Wild Hunt, Hobosexual and Hot Bodies in Motion. hope to see you there.
