Former Drive-By Trucker guitarist Jason Isbell is gearing up to release his latest record Here We Rest on April 12. He named the record after the original motto for his home state of Alabama and reportedly most of the songs on the record take inspiration from a recent two-year sting Isobell spent there.
Today he released the song ‘”Codine” for free download to whet your appetite for the album. You can get the song by dropping your email into the widget below. Isbell and his band the 400 Unit (keyboardist Derry deBorja, guitarist Browan Lollar, drummer Chad Gamble and bassist Jimbo Hart) come to Seattle on June 14 to play the Tractor Tavern.
