Rodrigo y Gabriela – Juan Loco (feat. CUBA) by ATO Records
Instrumental Latin guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela recently released their third studio album, titled Area 52, earlier this year and the record isn’t your typical Rod y Gab effort.
For the album the band decided to work a collective of Cuban musicians called C.U.B.A. and together they recorded and rearranged some of the songs off Rodrigo y Gabriela’s previous two albums. The result is an impressive nine-song record that delivers songs that rival their original counterparts in quality while adding depth to the group’s sound and providing new arrangements that breathe new life into familiar favorites.
