The Anywhere Shows Episode 4: Craig Gass

Pearl Jam’s two Seattle concerts at Safeco Field, aka The Home Shows, are only a few weeks away which means The Anywhere Shows: A Pearl Jam fan podcast is close to nearing its end.

For the penultimate episode of the podcast we talk about all things The Home Shows and are joined by special guest, comedian Craig Gass. There are laughs aplenty, a few spot-on celebrity impressions and as is to be expected, plenty of talk about Pearl Jam.

If you aren’t familiar with Craig Gass, he is pretty much one of rock & roll’s house comedians. He’s opened for countless bands including System of a Down, Metallica, Motley Crue and many others. You may know him from his appearances on Sex and the City, King of Queens or his appearances on The Howard Stern Show.

Gass started his comedy career in Seattle and has been friends with Mike McCready and the guys in Pearl Jam for the last 10 years. In fact, Mike McCready, along with Sean Kinney and Jerry Cantrell, make cameos in Craig’s comedy special The Worst Comedy Show Ever.

Some of the things we discuss during this episode include:

  • How Craig ended up hanging out with Eddie Vedder and Bill Murray in Cleveland when the Cubs won the World Series
  • What Craig thinks makes Pearl Jam different than other bands of their caliber
  • A recap of Pearl Jam fireworks night at Safeco Field
  • Details on events leading up to The Home Shows

Take a listen to the entire conversation above and catch up on the past three episodes of The Anywhere Shows which feature interviews with Mike McCready, Nancy Wilson, Chad Smith, Chris Friel, Steve Migs and a whole bunch of other cool guests below. If you like what you hear you can subscribe to The Anywhere Shows on iTunes, the Google Play store, Stitcher or iHeart Radio.
