Listen to Macklemore’s Christmas song

Lookout “Christmas in the Northwest” Macklemore is coming for your title of most beloved local holiday song.

Today he released the track “It’s Christmas” featuring Dan Caplen and the song includes just about everything you would expect from a Macklemore Christmas song. Scenes of setting up a Christmas tree, watching “It’s A Wonderful Life,” hot cocoa, Almond Roca, remembering what it was like to anticipate opening presents on Dec. 25 … you name it and Macklemore mentions it. All that’s missing is a hearty “ho, ho, ho” and maybe a kiss under some mistletoe.

It’s uniquely Macklemore and it’s probably the only Christmas song to shout out a dead family pet and also request Michael Buble get cranked on the stereo. Adding to the holiday warmth is what’s likely his oldest daughter Sloane shouting out the song’s title.

Take a listen to “It’s Christmas” below.
