Listen: Miley Cyrus feat. Brandi Carlile ‘Thousand Miles’

Brandi Carlile

It’s safe to say Brandi Carlile enjoys sharing her talents. She’s been featured on albums by Elton John, Marcus Mumford, Tanya Tucker, Jason Isbell, John Prine and even Leslie Jordan. And while that’s an impressive list, it’s not even half of the artists she’s worked with in the past few years.

Today, Miley Cyrus released her eighth studio album, “Endless Summer Vacation.” And guess who former Ms. Hannah Montana shares vocals with on the track “Thousand Miles.” It’s Brandi Carlile, of course.

It is common for most pop stars to have albums loaded with featured guests, but Carlile and Sia are the only two featured collaborators on the 13-track record. “Endless Summer Vacation,” is Cyrus’ first record since 2020 and it will likely be one of the year’s blockbuster albums given the success of lead single “Flowers,” which is the fastest song in history to reach 500 million streams on Spotify.
