I’ve talked about the Musicology Music Club before, but it’s worth repeating: this is the only vinyl subscription service that’s all about Pacific Northwest artists. That alone makes it pretty special. Add in the fact that it’s co‑curated by yours truly and you’ve got something that’s pretty fun and unique.
To celebrate a full year of putting PNW vinyl into the hands of music lovers, the club is rolling out a killer promotion. If you sign up for a three‑month subscription before December 24, 2025, you’ll get a fourth month free.
What You’ll Get Over Four Months
Here’s the lineup you can look forward to:
- December 2025: Live at the Crocodile: Back to Belltown
- January 2026: Nirvana’s Bleach (Deluxe 2‑LP edition) with Listening Notes featuring an interview with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame DJ Marco Collins, plus a bonus album—The Red Record from Tri‑Cities rockers Loudermilk
- February 2026: Death Cab for Cutie’s Asphalt Meadows (bonuses TBD)
- March 2026: Coral Grief’s Air Between Us (bonuses TBD)
In my 2009 review of the Bleach Deluxe 2-LP edition I called the reissue “near flawless.” As for Live at the Crocodile: Back to Belltown, I wrote that it is a “perfect time capsule of an era of Seattle music that paved the way for the diverse and robust local music scene we have today.”
Aside from getting those two killer records, you’re also getting three others. That’s five records in four months for just $85. Not a bad deal at all.
Past, Present, and Future
The club is shifting gears in 2026. Instead of focusing only on rising stars, the new initiative highlights PNW artists across time—past, present, and future. That’s why the first three picks of the year are:
- Nirvana (past)
- Death Cab for Cutie (present)
- Coral Grief (future)
It’s a way to celebrate the region’s legacy while also shining a light on what’s next.
More Than Just Records
If you’re new to the Musicology Music Club, here’s the scoop: every month you get a vinyl record from a PNW artist, plus exclusive Listening Notes that dig into the story behind the music. Subscribers also score occasional bonuses like stickers, extra records, and even invites to listening parties at Musicology Co in Edmonds.
So if you’re into vinyl, love the Pacific Northwest music scene, or just want to discover something new, this is a subscription worth jumping on—especially with that fourth month free.
