Eddie Vedder will begin his solo U.S. tour in support of his upcoming solo record Ukulele Songs on June 15 in Rhode Island and end it July 15 in Seattle at Benaroya Hall.

Vedder previously toured solo behind his last solo record, the soundtrack for Into The Wild, he did not play an official show in Seattle which makes the July 15 Seattle show a rare hometown solo appearance for the Pearl Jam frontman. His last solo appearance in Seattle came during a surprise set in West Seattle after a screening of Into the Wild. The last time Vedder performed at Benaroya Hall was in 2003 when Pearl Jam recorded an acoustic concert there (read my archived review of the show here) which resulted in the band’s Live at Benaroya Hall album.

Special guest Glen Hansard (The Swell Season, The Frames) will join Vedder on the road. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, April 1st. A presale for active members of Pearl Jam’s Ten Club takes place Tuesday, March 29 and Wednesday, March 30. (For full details on the presale visit www.pearljam.com).

As previously reported, Ukulele Songs will be released May 31 along with an Eddie Vedder live concert DVD.
