Metallica, Foo Fighters, members of Temple of the Dog to tribute Chris Cornell

It’s been a little more than a year since the untimely death of Chris Cornell and the tributes to his life are still pouring in.

The latest tribute, which was announced today, is a benefit concert featuring members of Cornell’s former bands — Audioslave, Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog — along with Metallica, Foo Fighters and Ryan Adams. The concert, which is called “I Am The Highway,” will take place Jan. 16, 2019 at the Forum in Los Angeles and proceeds will benefit The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. The EBMRF h is a cause strongly supported by Cornell’s friend Eddie Vedder.

The concert is the latest tribute to the late Soundgarden frontman. Last  month a life-sized bronze statue of Cornell was unveiled outside of the Museum of Popular Culture in Seattle.

Tickets for “I Am The Highway” go on sale Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. PT.
