Willie Nelson bringing Dylan, Mellencamp, Billy Strings and more to The Gorge

Willie Nelson is a national treasure. There’s no disputing the 90-year-old icon is both a musical and cultural titan.

This summer, Aug. 10 to be exact, the Red Headed Stranger is bringing his annual Outlaw Music Festival to the Gorge and with it comes some additional music royalty. The tour stop in Washington will include Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Billy Strings and Brittney Spencer. This more or less makes the Gorge’s Outlaw Music Festival Farm Aid without Neil Young and a cause to support.

Other tour dates include Robert Plant and Allison Kraus on the bill. Unfortunately, we didn’t get lucky enough to have those two at the Gorge stop along with Dylan, Mellencamp et al. Still, it’s a remarkable lineup and a great chance to see living legends together while they’re still around.

Tickets for the Outlaw Music Festival go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
